Before you begin:
Please note that you will not receive an immediate response of your results. We have committed volunteers who will personally take time to meet together, pray for you, analyze your responses, and offer suggestions for service opportunities only after having sought God for discernment about them. You will be contacted once your submission is received to let you know we have it, and we will call the volunteer team together shortly after in order to produce a results page specifically created for you (click here for a sample of a results page).

Because we take seriously the role of the church in helping it's people identify, cultivate, and exercise their gifts, we have chosen a way of serving each individual that requires personal prayer and several hours of volunteer time. As a result, this assessment is only available to people who attend Renew Church regularly and consider it their church home. Personal Ministry Assessment
Exploring your spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, and experiences.

    THE PURPOSE OF THE PERSONAL MINISTRY ASSESSMENT

    We are all created by God as unique individuals with different gifts, passions and values, abilities, behaviour patterns, experiences, and interests. We hope that this personal assessment can provide you with insights into how you have been prepared for serving God by serving your church and the world around you.
              We hope that you will discover something new about yourself, or confirm some things you already know, and that you'll be inspired to become more active in missional living. We also hope that you will choose to engage more actively in the community at Renew Church, choosing to serve alongside the many faithful volunteers who seek to positively impact our community and world for Jesus through the work of Renew Church.
              Be open and honest, and pray for God's guidance as you complete these survey items. We hope you will be blessed with what you discover about yourself and how you can use your unique gifts in rewarding and satisfying ways.

    PART 1 - SPIRITUAL GIFTS

    PART 2 - PASSIONS

    Each person has a uniquely wired heart. From that heart comes passions. Your passions are the things you love to do and things that energize you. You likely have a passion or deep desire to have or do certain things. At the same time, there are also certain things that you dislike doing or that do not touch you deeply.
    Jot down some brief thoughts in response to these questions to help you identify your heart’s desires, things you should pursue, as well as things you dislike and should avoid.

    PART 3 - ABILITIES

      Abilities include both natural talents or skills that you may have and also special skills or knowledge you may have gained. An example of a natural talent is playing the piano by ear. An example of a special skill is playing the piano by having learned to read the notes.

    PART 4 - EXPERIENCES

     All life experiences can be used by God to prepare you for future ministry and success. God uses both the good and the bad experiences of life to teach you and to prepare you for what is ahead.  Answering the following questions can help you to identify life experiences that could be used effectively in future ministry.

    Thanks for taking the time to fill out this Personal Ministry Assessment. We trust it will be a beneficial use of your time when you see the results.
    The results will be forwarded to a small team who will hold your responses in strict confidence. They will meet to pray for you and to ask God for wisdom and discernment in providing you with a report that will include spiritual gifts you likely have as well as themes that are identified as areas of passion for you. In consideration of all of your responses you will also be given recommendations of potential ways to serve in the church and in the community that utilize your gifts and evoke a passion to serve. It's our hope that these recommendations will help guide you into faithfully serving Jesus in our church, community, and world to the glory of God!
